Bring medical models to life. The J850 Digital Anatomy Printer takes the J850 capabilities to the next level. Step up to the printer’s digital capabilities to create models with an incredible array of microstructures which not only look, but now feel and function like actual human tissue for true haptic feedback. All of this in a single print operation with minimal to no finishing steps like painting, sanding or assembly.
Digital Anatomy Materials
The Digital Anatomy material family provides fully customized 3D printed medical models for anatomical realism you can see and feel. Each Digital Anatomy preset is configured using unique material combinations that vary in softness, flexibility, and density to mimic native tissue and bone behavior.
Advanced material options, including radiopaque capabilities, make mimicking human anatomy simpler than ever within an intuitive user interface. The Digital Anatomy Printer software offers more than 100 anatomy presets, among them you will find:
- Musculoskeletal – Bones, discs, vertebrae, ligaments, and more.
- Structural Heart – Myocardium, annulus, valves, leaflets, and more.
- Blood Vessels – Vessel wall, calcification, gel support, and more.
- Radiology – High and low radiopaque values for accuracy under imaging.
Exclusive materials for the Digital Anatomy Printer:
- GelMatrix™ (FLG110) - A gel-like support material for easy removal from blood vessels with inner diameters as small as 1mm and wall thickness as low as 1.5mm.
- TissueMatrix™ (MED310) - The softest translucent material commercially available. Ideal for replicating the look and feel of heart tissue.
- BoneMatrix™ (RGD516) - A strong, yet flexible, material with memory to maintain its shape.
- RadioMatrix™ (MED410) - The first of its kind radio-opaque 3D printing material
3rd Party (Medtronic) Testing of Digital Anatomy Materials
Medtronic performed tests on the Digital Anatomy materials to determine how effectively they replicated organic myocardium (heart) tissue. Results were compared to porcine myocardium, which closely mimics human tissue.
