Successful TMVR (transcatheter mitral valve replacement) requires innovation to navigate the high risks and complexity.

Unprecedented insights are revealed when using 3D planning to create pre-procedural plans. The adoption of 3D planning in the modern medical setting is inevitable.

Bring clarity to complexity by using Mimics Enlight’s automated 3D workflow. More accurate planning leads to improved patient outcomes.

2D vs 3D Planning

Although volume rendering gives the impression of working in 3D, measurements are taken on the 2D projection of the model. When using accurate 3D models, measurements snap to the model, which allows evaluation in all three dimensions.

Volume rendering is limited to 2D planning with 3D visualization while true 3D planning uses accurate 3D models to enable automated analysis and enhanced spatial insights.

Key Features in Action:

  • Automatic neo-LVOT measurement

Studies1 have shown that the 3D automation of critical measurements allows rapid and consistently accurate risk assessment of LVOT obstruction which supports better calculated decisions in comparison to 2D methods

  • Multi-scenario Evaluation

Selection of device type, size, and position in different scenarios through easy virtual implantation and one-click LVOT measurement

  • Accurate 3D Models

Comprehensive visualization and measurements directly in 3D to get a better understanding of the patient’s anatomy

  • Assisted Annulus Detection

Automated first estimate of the annulus shape immediately in 3D

  • Communication

Connect with your heart team on procedural plans with one-click report generation, Mimics Viewer for virtual case sharing and discussion in 3D, and the possibility to 3D print.
